The Premier Cortez Fishing Experience

Few places on the Gulf Coast carry the fishing heritage of Cortez Village, one of Florida’s last working waterfront fishing communities. Tucked along Sarasota Bay just east of Anna Maria Island, Cortez gives a local fishing guide direct access to the grass flats, mangrove creeks, and deep passes that open straight to the Florida Gulf.

Captain David White fishes these historic waters the way the Cortez fleet always has — reading the tides for snook fishing in Cortez along the bay shorelines and chasing seasonal tarpon fishing in Cortez out toward the Gulf passes. Charter fishing in Cortez, FL blends that old-Florida heritage with modern tackle and decades of local know-how.

Easy Access from Cortez

All trips launch from our home dock — the public boat ramp at 6398 Marina Way in Holmes Beach, just down the road from the Kingfish Boat Ramp. From Cortez, FL it’s only a few minutes over the Cortez Bridge onto Anna Maria Island, so you’re on the water almost immediately.
